The Virtualization Infrastructure Driver Vid Is Not Running Server 2012
I have a Dell PowerEdge R710 with 24Gb Ram running as a DC on a small network with 15 clients. I installed the Hyper-V role and created a virtual machine that I plan to use for Remote Desktop Services. When I try to start the machine I get the message that it cannot start because Hypervisor is not running. Looking at the log I see the following 2 errors. 'Hypervisor launch failed; Processor does not provide the features necessary to run the hypervisor (leaf 0x80000001, register 0x3: features needed 0x2C100800, features supported 0x2C000800).'
And 'The virtualization infrastructure driver (VID) is not running. The processor is an Intel Xeon E5640 which from what I can tell supports vitualization. Also, in the BIOS I have enabled virtualization which was disables when I built the server.

What am I missing here?
