He has since passed and we are liquidating his cars now. He was the original owner. This car has been stored in our warehouse for the past 18 years.
The car has no rust at all. The car has 49,900 original miles. The interior rates at 10 and the exterior about 9. For being a 29 year old car, you will not find a cleaner or more well taken care of car.
My grandfather added the Hurst scoop to the car as well. It is blue exterior and interior with a full size matching spare in the trunk. The car is all original and has never been restored. The oil, plugs, pcv, coolant and brakes were just done. The tires are perfect and it runs like a dream. Starting as a Rust free Arizona car, it then ended up in California where we have a copy of the California title dating from 1988 to 1999. From there it went to a Illinois collector in 2001.
It then went to Georgia and then back into California in 2004 where it had remained until it was acquired by Vanguard Motor Sales. This documented low mileage Cutlass is loaded with factory options.

It was said that Mayan Gold cars were the least likely to be in accidents due to the high gloss brightness and shine. The paint is all original and damage free. The interior is wrapped in eloquent saddle velour with the look of a plush corduroy pillow. The reclining bucket seats, radial tires, color-keyed wheelcovers, and upgraded suspesion are what gave this car its luxury european styling similar to the Grand Ams of this period. This car was purchased new in Hays, KS in 1973 and it stayed with its original owner until we got a hold of it. It is equipped with all the options you could ask for and then some.
With only 69,000 original miles on the RUST FREE body you are guaranteed to catch eyes on the road. The body lines are robust and unlike any other sedan from this era. This car is a rare find and is the nicest sedan we have seen in years. From the preserved exterior and engine and inward to the mint interior this car exemplifies pride in ownership. The lights, chrome, trim, and mouldings are all in A+ condition. The top is flawless and shows no signs of rusting or corrosion beneath the vinyl. This car was clearly garage kept and safe from road salt and water.
The doors close crisp and straight, free of any sag. The body lines are consistent and tight throughout the entire car. We can be most certain that this car has never been in an accident. Under the hood sits a world class 350 CID Rocket V8 in its original form. This car was regularly serviced and one glance under the hood is all the proof you will need.
It idles as smooth and quiet as any car today. The RPM's rise and fall just as clean as you could hope for and the exhaust is clear and smoke free.
She rides down the road nice and straight and free of any rattles or signs of excessive wear. Braking is straight and smooth on the pedal. You can feel the difference with the front disc brakes under heavy braking and it's all the confidence you need to drive this anywhere. Shifting is smooth and crisp and the Turbo Hydra Matic kicks down into first gear and pulls like a mule when you spur the loud pedal. Drove sparingly until 1968 with only about 30000 miles put on the Oldsmobile when the lady Sold her restaurant and bought a new Chrysler Newport sedan and retired the Olds until the mid 1970's when it was Sold to a Hillside illinois gentleman who gave to his daughter to drive. Less then 2 years later the Olds again was retired for a few more years until resold to the 3rd owner who of which put less then more 1000 miles on it from 1976 till 2008. The Olds sat inside all this time having slow restoration done to it in regards to body work paint brake-lines etc.
Now we being the 4th owners. After we too had some of the work done as already described below. We are now moving into much smaller quarters and reluctantly need to sell. This Olds will run and drive smoothly n superbly in speeds in excess of 75mph when need be.The Olds has a Superior running original 394-cubic-inch Rocket-V8 with Automatic transmission.
