Hi, Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community. As you have mention that there was a Windows Update which got installed, let’s restart the computer once and check if it helps. If the issue still persist, I suggest you to update the touchpad drivers and check if it helps. Method 1: Update drivers. Press Windows key + X key and click on Device manager.

Search for Human interface devices. Right-click on the device and click on update driver option. You may also download the latest touchpad drives from the manufacturer’s website and install it on your computer.

For any further query, feel free to contact us. I have followed your instructions Syed and I have also downloaded the latest touchpad drives from Elantech, did a reboot and still doesn't enable touchpad. I cant even find where the Elantech Precision Touchpad driver file went that I installed. It clearly shows in my Device manager that the HID-compliant touch screen component isn't in my Device manager list, as shown in photo below. I have even downloaded and installed the latest generic Synaptics Driver and still my touchpad doesn't respond at all. Would it be more of a BIOS kind of fix situation or something harder??

UPDATE No idea what has happened but after I got home from work this evening, I decided to look into the Settings under Devices clicked on Mouse & touchpad and found that Touchpad appeared once again under that setting. I went to the Additional Mouse Options and saw that ELADS was once again in the Mouse properties. I then pressed the Fn & F7 keys and presto my touchpad works once again! I have absolutely NO idea how ELADS came back on my laptop, I haven't done anything for this to occur!

I assume there must've been an update of some kind. I'm happy my touchpad is working once again! Issue Resolved!
